Ratings & Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5?by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5?by Great location! This is the perfect place to live! Across the street from USAA and minutes from I10. I like that everything is close to me. Major shopping, Starbucks, night life, and great places to eat. I would tell all of my friends to move here. I think the price is right as well. April 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5?by Decent but overpriced The property is under going a make-over so there are a lot of workers walking around. It will look nice once it is complete. Maintenance issues. I once waited 3 months for them to fix something in my apartment. But then I have had work orders completed in a matter of days. The lead maintenance man works very hard, sometimes he can be seen working on Sunday. There have been some new things added, pet waste stations across the property which has been a great thing. The property now has trash / recycle valet which is nice. Parking is HORRIBLE, you can pay more $$ and get a reserved cover parking spot or a garage. But my spot has been parked in quite a few times by unauthorized vehicles and when I called the answering service they said they would take care of it.That never happened, it wasn't until the next day when the other vehicle was moved. There are several stray cats on the property especially in the trash area, which looks disgusting on the weekends because it starts overflowing and looks like a landfill. The laundry room hardly ever works, so I hope you have a washer and dryer. The gym has older equipment in it, an elliptical, treadmills and bike machine. There are no free weights, but they do have a weight machine that is really difficult to use. The swimming pool area is really nice. It is small though and gets crowded really quick. There is a lot of street noise, not only from traffic (buses, ambulances etc.) but also from the people walking by. We had a neat resident function where we had like an outdoor theater and the staff served popcorn and hot dogs. But we haven't had another one since. The market rent is outrageous, and I truly feel like the staff / management co. or whomever "nickels & dimes" you. I felt forced to take on extra amenities mid-lease only to find out that if I tried to cancel those amenities, I would have to pay more fees. I just think it's bad business and really unfair to the residents. It made me feel like, all they wanted was my money. Needless to say, when my lease is up, I will not be renewing my lease. Rated 1 out of 5?by Very Bad Managment specially Property manager I am current resident of the Dominion Park hill from last 6 months. I have taken the apartment because it is road facing and looks better then near by apartment. But after moving there i realized that the Management is very very bad. Property Manager and staff is very very rude. They don't give importance to your complain and problem never get resolved. They will try to blame you for the issue and try to make money out of it. I have never see such rude ppl in my entire life. February 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5?by Great Place to Live- Just don't expect customer service I have lived here at Dominion Park for just over a year (yes, I recently renewed my lease.) The location, for me, is the selling point- across from USAA and less than a minute from I-10. The apartment itself if fairly modern, and only gently worn, and the maintenance technicians are fast and effective. It's pet friendly (deposit required), but don't get caught without a leash and trash bag because threatening letters are the norm. Pool is nice, gym is mediocre, and the laundromat- it hasn't worked since I've been here. My issue is with the Dominion Park Management/ Staff's customer service- or LACK thereof. If you find yourself in need of any special considerations, you can forget it. I avoid that office like the plague. Making a rent payment is easy- as long as it's in person and during hours that are convenient for them. (I've literally rushed across town to make a timely payment, only to have the manager lock the door behind her and shake her finger at me as I attempted to open the door. It was well within their posted hours on EVERY major apartment website- but not only do they take no responsibility for what a third party advertises- THEY WOULDN'T OPEN THE DOOR for a resident because they missed closing time by 10 seconds. The next day, that same rep charged my the $50 late fee without consideration for anything. Paying over the phone? Forget it. That's not an option... unless you pay late after returning from military training and ask if you can remove one day of late fees because your flight was delayed- you're told military orders mean nothing- you should have paid by phone. Contradictory, condescending, and just poor service. Obviously, I'm displeased with how I'm treated by the office staff despite the fact I am a reasonable, passive, non-confrontational, and hard working resident. I do not complain and this is the first review I've ever written- which should tell you something. I have received at least 4 eviction notices- posted inside my door- for "multiple noise complaints during daylight hours" (after returning from week long business trip) and others because they miscalculated a $5.00 trash fee: leaving me delinquent and evicted (discovered only after I walked the letter to them to clarify.) They allow you until the 3rd of the month to pay your rent- that is fair and reasonable- but they have no compassion whatsoever for life's curve-balls. I renewed out of convenience and location. I admit, if I didn't have the occasional payment issues, I wouldn't have to deal with the management and I may not feel this way- but I have never been delinquent more than a day yet have been made to feel like a freeloader. They did me a favor by not charging me an inflated monthly rate so I would renew my contract because again- I didn't come in at a time convenient for them. Don't ask me what their hours are- I still don't know. Overall, I suppose if you pay early each month (which you must calculate yourself and catch them in a good mood), don't interact with the front office, and don't expect to be treated like a human being, this truly is a great place to live!
