Rated 2 out of 5?by Nice location/amenities. TERRIBLE management and policies These are pretty good apartments. Nice location. Decent amenities. A year ago, I would have given AMLI Eastside (formerly Robertson Hill) a 4-star review. But then AMLI took over in Fall 2012, and it's been all downhill ever since. I used to frequently recommend Robertson Hill to my friends who were moving, but now I actively caution and discourage them from even considering this place. I'll likely move out soon. The new management are autocrats who run this place more like a juvenile detention center than somewhere you'd want to call home. Immediately after taking over, they fired the old staff (who were very friendly and easy to work with), began instituting strict new policies, limiting access to the building and its amenities, eliminating perks, and constantly inconveniencing the residents - all while simultaneously raising rental rates by hundreds of dollars and lowering the quality of service. And I'm not the only one who's complaining. Literally every single resident I know here has a laundry list of complaints about the AMLI policies, prices, and people. Just go read the Yelp reviews for "AMLI Eastside" and you'll see what I mean. So if you're looking to live downtown, look elsewhere first. These apartments have nice curb appeal and look great on paper, but within a few months of living here, you'll wish you had chosen differently. Especially now that AMLI has raised the prices so much, you can easily find a better place for the same cost. March 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5?by AMLI Ruined This Property I moved in here while it was still Robertson Hill Apartments, and LOVED the place. A few months ago AMLI purchased the property, fired the friendly staff and immediately removed the amenities which made this place worthwhile. The staff is VERY rude. They seem annoyed if you ask them any questions. They won't even smile at residents walking though the lobby. The staff sucked all of the fun out of what was a GREAT friendly community. Once they took over, they called the cops on their own residents at the pool on labor day weekend.(Then shut down the pool for the rest of the weekend) Things like that never happened before AMLI took over. Notice the pool tables, yet also notice that they only have one pool cue. (For the past 3 months) Gone is the towel service in the gym. Gone is candy and pretzel sticks in the lobby. Gone is the nice antique display in the lobby. UP went our rent. My roommate and I are moving out. January 9, 2013
