Rated 1 out of 5?by RK Not as nice as it looks on the outside
This apartment complex is terrible! I would not recommend it anyone. To start out with my husband and I have dogs, so it was difficult to find a place that would take 2 boxers. We only lived there for 7 months. The one bedroom had mold problems in bathroom that the front office refused to fix or even acknowledge. The dryer vent had never been cleaned and was a fire hazard. Also you could not shut the door to the noisy off balanced dryer and washer because if you did then the bathroom would literally have water from the condensation running down the walls. The first full week in our place our convertible was attempted to be stolen and had the top slashed. The office hardly said sorry and acted like it was my fault for having a nice car in a gated complex. The water was shut off with out notice to us 4 times and on the last two time making for total of 6 times they notified only because I had called prior and asked why no one had called us or put a not on the door. The people next to us were very rude and had domestic issues at all hours. I also only used the gym once and found the equipment in bad repair to the point that it was borderline unsafe. I also found a bed bug on me after working out. I notified the office and to my knowledge and no action was taken. I flipped out and never went back for fear of them. When we moved in I paid all 7 months upfront since we were moving in from out of state. I had wanted to pay a deposit knowing the end game that complexes try to pull on you but they refused to take my money and then charged me 150 per dog in what they said was half fee and half deposit. Come to find out on the lease that thy put the whole amount in the fee section so I cant get any of that money back. I was very careful when we moved out and even patched all the holes from the hanging pictures. I had the whole place cleaned by a maid. I also did a final walk through with a person from the office to ascertain any damages I might need to pay. She said that it smelled like dog and I may have to pay a pet cleaning fee. She refused to give me anything on paper about the process but told me she would know in a week. Okay no big, the carpet had a little wear on it but was fine and she even said so. So now 3 weeks after I move out I get a bill for nearly 800 for carpet replacement. I am currently fighting it, mainly because there office verbally agreed that the carpet would not need replacing. While we were there they had some staff change overs and the new staff was not as receptive as the old. But mainly I find the complex on the whole disrespectful to the tenants and they employ a lot of bait and switch techniques. I will update with how they deal with me and my issues with the move out charges. I can only hope that they don't make me pay them and I only pay the water and the pet cleaning fee as I had been told originally. But in general I would stay away from this place. Its not as nice as it looks, they did update the kitchen appliances to stainless steal but its low end quality and they just painted over the cabinets to make them look better than the old style they had been. Its not worth the cost when you can get something at a better price with better management that might just look a little older. I hope that when I update I will be able to say the office has handled my request appropriation. If not I anticipate that I will report them to the BBB.
