CHICAGO (June 25, 2012) — Apartments.com announced today that Dick Burke, senior vice president of administration and corporate development at Classified Ventures, LLC, has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of Apartments.com, the leading online rental resource owned by Classified Ventures, LLC. In this new role, Burke will oversee all the business operations of the organization, including the sales, marketing and finance sectors as well as the product development, production, customer service and technology segments of Apartments.com. Burke is succeeding Kevin Doyle, who has led Apartments.com as the general manager and senior vice president for the last six years of his 11 year tenure with the company.

Burke comes to Apartments.com with more than a decade of success under his belt. Not only did he sign the papers that formed Classified Ventures in 1997, but throughout his 13 years with the company, he also assumed responsibility for Classified Ventures’ affiliate network and corporate development initiatives, administered the strategic direction and operational oversight of HomeGain.com, the company’s online real estate business, and oversaw the technology operations, legal, human resources, communications, recruiting, and facilities functions of the company as senior vice president of administration and corporate development.
