Rated 5 out of 5?by rogerbat Great place to call home Our first experience with Old Quaker Building apartments was in 2010 when our youngest daughter was going to attend the graduate nursing program at UPENN. Old Quaker had been our first stop and all the other apartments we looked at could not compare to Old Quaker. In fact, we rented #206 from Anita that same day. The apartment was clean, newly painted, the rugs were shampooed, wash/dryer is standard, and the halls are cleaned daily. We always felt it was a save and secure environment for our daughter. The apartments are quaint and have several amenities like: a workout area, BBQ grill, and a great porch to sit and relax. They allow small animals, and have convenient parking as well. The apartments are in walking distance to UPENN, Drexel University, great restaurants, and a local convenience store. Well you would think this was the end of our story ? Not At All ! In 2012, our daughter-in-law was accepted into the graduate nursing program at UPENN. We didn't even have second thoughts as to where she would be living. As soon she was accepted, we contacted Anita and Stephanie and rented an apartment for her 13 month stay. As one would expect, by this time we had gotten to know the staff - Anita, Stephanie, and Tom the handy man. What a great team to have on your side. They welcomed us with open arms and my daughter-in-laws stay has been just as good as our daughters. When considering an apartment, we highly recommend you talk to them. They are there to make your stay pleasant, safe, comfortable, and accommodating - it will be your home away from home. March 21, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5?by Old Quaker Resident Since 2011 Great Place for Graduate Students This a great building for graduate students. Great location to schools, restaurants, and downtown. They allow dogs and have a washer and dryer in the units. If you're looking for a place, you should check out Old Quaker. My wife and I are super glad we did. February 22, 2013
Property OverviewIdeally located in the heart of University City, The Old Quaker Building is actually a complex of two architecturally significant structures dating from the mid-19th century. In its previous life, the building first served as a meetinghouse for Quakers and later as offices for The Working Home for the Blind. Today, complementing the beautiful, historic details with a host of contemporary amenities like stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and wood flooring, the Old Quaker Building has been reborn as a very special, luxury residential community.
