Rated 3 out of 5?by WE Dweller Beautiful grounds, noise is a issue!! My husband and I live here in a one bedroom. The grounds are impeccably kept and the maintenance staff as well as management have always been very helpful. However, we live on the ground floor and can hear almost everything in the apartment above us. The neighboring apartment to our west smoke on their patio and the smoke wafts over to our patio making it uninhabitable while they are puffing. The rent increased after a year by 30 dollars and recently, the water charge went up as well making our rent 60 dollars more than it was when we moved in. The open floor plan and high ceilings are a plus however, and the bathroom is nice and roomy. It comes with all appliances! Also a big plus. The carpeting is pretty cheap, so one needs to be careful, especially at the seams, which are at weird places. On a rainy day, I can hear Interstate 5 from our patio. The neighborhood surrounding the Estates is not the best. But not the worst either. I wish the price was a little lower considering the size, but it is comparable to other apartments that are not as nice. There are two sections to Willamette Estates. The Phase I section is older, nice, but older. The Phase II area we live in was build in the summer of 2010. We moved into a brand new apartment here in February of 2011. August 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5?by Jackie Awful management I don't know why these other reviews say you don't hear the people in adjacent apartments. I could hear them slamming cupboards and I could hear their washer. Also awful smells coming from apartment below. Really noise neighbor they would not do anything about and junk on patios they won't do anything about. They tried to steal my deposit when I left. Don't let them do (they are getting away with it though). Completely ineffective manager. August 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5?by cbw1983 Nice complex, terrible location Overal the complex is a nice complex. However, the area around the complex is not the greatest and is downright sketchy at times. The office and maintenance staff have always been very helpful and friendly. And the gym and pool are very nice. As far as the apartment itself, the biggest plus for me is that they are very well insulated and you do not hear your neighbors often. The biggest downside for me is in my floor plan the Kitchen is very small (my office cubicle is bigger) and not a lot of storage. There is also not much of a "dining" space unless you cut into the "living room". Overall not bad for the price, really wish it was in a different location, for that alone I will be moving when my lease is up. July 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5?by Fitnessmommy Nicest complex in Salem Salacious condo quality apartment. Hard to believe the value. The large kitchen has ample space and cupboards. The construction is top notch and you do not hear your neighbors which is so rare. The buildings and grounds are very well maintained and the staff is so friendly. The fireplace makes the unit feel so homey. Certainly the best apartment complex in Salem for a great price. March 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5?by GryphonD Nice but too spendy for what you get over all Meh: More than $600/mo for a 1BR in a $9/hr town, if the pricing scheme were more reasonable, then maybe rating would change. January 7, 2013
