Rated 4 out of 5?by Nice place for a budget! I have lived here for almost a year and overall I like it. Let me start with the 3 things that I don't like (bad news first): no option for covered parking (no carports or garages); the heating is baseboard style (so it's difficult to keep a consistent temperature)/ the a/c in the 1 bedroom apartment is only in the living room (which doesn't reach the rest of the apartment); and third is that there's no hook ups for laundry in the 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. That being said, there are a lot of great things about the complex that make it a great value. (THE GOOD NEWS) First of all, you are extremely close to the highway (35) so you aren't far from anything. There is a dog park, picnic areas, and pool (plus we're next door to MacGregor Park if you like to run). I haven't had any trouble with noise or smoke (although, I'm not sure of the complex's smoking policy). The office staff are very helpful and I have never waited more than 1 day for maintenance to fix anything. Water is covered in the cost of rent, so that's one less bill to think about. Each apartment has a separate entrance, with a patio or balcony space. The 1 bedroom apartment is much more spacious than a lot of other single units I looked at and the closets are huge! I thought the best part was the price- I'm a graduate student and I'm living off student loans, Woodman Park is very affordable. March 7, 2013
