I will say that they have added waterproof wood laminate floor to the entry way of the 2 bedrooms, which extends through the kitchen, hallway, and into the bathroom, which is rather nice. Downsides: You will get to know your neighbors whether you want to or not. The walls are thin, and if you're on any floor but the top floor, you will know what your upstairs neighbors are doing, as well as the ones above them in a lot of the units. You can hear people in their own units, as well as in the hallway, even at low volume. The pet policy is "no pets" but should be rewritten, since almost everyone around here has a dog, and only one person in my building has one that's trained. The washers aren't full economy and charge $1.75 per use. Another $1.25 for the dryer. Upside here is you're not required to do laundry on site, and because they have it, they don't charge for water. They also LOVE checking up on the apartment, making sure the lights all work and the smoke detector doesn't need batteries. Once a year, they'll inspect the unit to make sure everything is still up to code and nothing needs fixed and that you're generally keeping up with the place. Overall, if you're looking for a cheaper place to live in a not-so-horrible part of town, Riverlodge is fine. If you're looking for something quiet and not so Big Brother-ish, keep looking.
