I was very impressed with the price and square feet for a three bedroom, two bath. I got to tour a two bedroom since the three bedroom was not available. I was not impressed with the inside as much as I was the outside community. It is very old and outdated. The fireplace, light fixtures, the whole kitchen, cracks in the pavement and walls....just not what I thought it would be, to be located near the country club. No pool/playground or workout center unless you want to pay a $1000 deposit and monthly fees to the country club next door. I also think the qualification to even be approved is not sensible. Two months rent?? really?

The apartment community looked old but filled with character online. However, when I actually went and looked at one of them, I was extremely disappointed. The buildings are run down and need of cosmetic repair. The apartment that I was shown was in the process of being extensively remodeled on the inside but there was a smell in the apartment that no amount of paint or new carpeting was going to cover up. I was also disppointed in the fact that they do not allow even small animals in these apartments. In this day and age where everyone has a little four-legged member of the family, it is unheard of not to accept them. Most people that I know do not mind paying the extra deposit just so that they can have their little guy with them. It might be a great spot for some but not for me.

There is a reason why there aren't many vacancies in this community. I had my name on a waiting list and something became available just in time for me. I rented the place based on the floor plan (no models to view) and was pleasantly surprised on how much square footage I got for the price of a 3 bedroom when I was able to walk thru my new home. Everything was replaced and I moved into a brand new townhome, literally! Everyone in the office is so gracious and polite and the maintenance team is quick to please and courteous with a smile! I love Shorewood and its location in the Raintree community. I am so close to everything I need!
