Rated 1 out of 5?by DON'T LIVE HERE!!! I live in the HH Warner Loft for over a year now and I must say it is BY FAR the WORST renting experience of my life. First and foremost the lofts are extremely overpriced for what you get. At a glance they seem like a good deal, however the neighborhood is not the best, the apartments are not suited for tenants, and the building manager and property owner are incompetent and could care less about the people paying their bills. All of the other tenants that I know CANNOT WAIT to move out once their leases expire. The heating in the building does not work, and it is much more expensive then the price quoted (I was told $80/month is what to expect, I had bills as high as $465/month, and that was running the temperature at a max of 65 degrees in the winter). On more than one occasion, I awoke to the temperature in the 40's, and when asked to be reimbursed for the extra heating expenses, I was told that "was not a company policy". I had to move out on multiple occasions due to inhabitable conditions. Additionally, during the winter time, the enclosed lot is never plowed when you need it to be, the fence that "encloses" it is always broken and wide open, it is so small that it is very difficult to get out of in the morning's for work, and there are times when as a tenant you can't even find a spot. Rated 1 out of 5?by Not the Best Option Nuisances surround the building on all sides. Flanking the building (to the East and South) is the construction site for the RGRTA Downtown Transit Center. Construction runs from early in the morning until early evening, with the sounds of heavy equipment and back-up beepers piercing the building. On the North side of the building is World Wide News, a low-end corner store. The area itself certainly is not a hip or up-and-coming part of town. There are just a few restaurants within walking distance and no sign of anything new to come. East Ave, Park Ave, and the Village Gate offer significantly more to do, and a safer area to do it in. Outdoor parking is available and secured by a gate. The lot is shared with the businesses that are housed in the building. Tenants are not assigned spots, and at certain times of the day the lot is full and there are no spots for tenants. There is no remote access to the lot either by intercom or phone. So when a guest arrives, the tenant must walk down to the lot, exit the gate to the street, and walk over to the car gate to let a guest in. This can be troubling in the winter, not to mention late at night in an area that is not very safe. The apartments themselves are nice, and the floors in some are hardwood, and some have vaulted ceilings. The apartments are generally tasteful and chic, although there is clearly some corner-cutting. However, many tenants have had issues with leaks and bugs. These issues appear to be recurrent and spread throughout the building. At the same time, the walls between apartments are thin and noise carries through. There is an onsite building manager that is of little to no help at all. And so, once you move in, you are essentially on your own. Simple requests can take days to weeks, and are often unaddressed without repeated follow up by the tenant. Taking all the facts together: the poor location, the noise and construction, the lack of entertainment within walking distance, the parking situation, and the issues with the building itself, the apartments are overpriced and there are much better options in better parts of town.
