Ratings & Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5?by 1 reviewer.
Rated 2 out of 5?by Nice buildings.....thats all though Hands down one of the nicest apartment complexes close to downtown, unfortunately that is where the perks end. Midtown crossing was a Mutual of Omaha project that is in the final stages of failing miserably. I think the bank was a little optimistic in their assessment with Omaha's market for high end condominiums costing 150k for a one bedroom and 250k for a two bedroom. Seriously LUND co, this is not Manhattan. The apartments are designed beautifully and the grounds are always secure and clean with full time staff oversight. Overall the leasing office does a fair job keeping tenants informed of upcoming events and handling maintenance, however, do not ask them to do anything beyond those as the leasing office staff seems to "go out to lunch" when such requests come down the pipeline. The majority of the office staff are friendly and helpful, all upper management are rude and have adopted a strict "we don't negotiate, we can do whatever we wan't so deal with it" policy. Tenants can expect to pay 85 dollars a month for parking unless their apartment includes a spot, lund co even admitted the apartment buildings weren't designed with enough parking to give each apartment a spot. The amenities at midtown crossing are sparse, after living here for two years I have realized that the only amenities are a full time concierge and a lounge/ roof top which apparently is reserved for condominium owners. Other local apartment complexes have amenities including a gym, full size movie theater, and pool room. On the upside most of Omaha's great resturaunts, a movie theatre, and the occasional concert on the green are located here. The concert's on the green can be a pain if you are a professional and don't like coming home to a noisy park. Rent is on the upper end of the spectrum and Lundco realty has clearly been commissioned to bleed its tenants dry, expect annual rent hikes of 6% or more (3 TIMES THE NATIONAL AVERAGE). And don't bother trying to talk to the leasing office about such a drastic increase, their response will be "Well thats what we feel we can get for such an apartment". To sum it all up: If you like living in new apartments that are beautifully designed, safe, and relatively close to downtown while also paying through the nose and being treated like garbage by the leasing office management Midtown Crossing has a place for you :) Keep in mind I still live here.
