Rated 1 out of 5?by Warthog Worthless Place
I would not waste my money, lived there for 2 years and would not recommend it to anyone. The office is never open and will not return your calls when you left a message. Now they have the doors locked while the office manager and regional manager are in there and refuse to answer the phone and the answering machine is turned off. They raised our rent by an average of $40 per year and repaired nothing. The maintenance staff's hands are tied and that is obvious, if it's something they can't repair without spending money, forget it. I had things that were on the list to be repaired from the time we moved in and were still broken or leaking when we left. Most things I had to fix myself if I wanted it done right, which is wrong. I blame this on Beacon, because it is obvious they want your money but do not want to reinvest it on their properties. As a maintenance manager myself, I would have been fired a long time ago if my buildings were in the same shape as this complex.

Rated 3 out of 5?by Rockefeller Was a good place, We want old manager back!
Spent two hours writing a review to have it tell me over and over I had inappropriate language....I sifted through it 10 times it had none so this will be short!
I have been living at Deerfield for 2 years and plan on leaving!
Location: close enough to things that require daily life, I don't like living near Farmington Rd as it seems bad drivers love that road.
Value: These apts are to old for the price they are set at, you get charged more for a court yard view which is dead all summer long with no sprinkler system to keep the grass alive.
Office staff: had a great manager but she got transfered now the office is never open when it is supposed to be, new person in charge is always leaving hours early! Makes it hard to get packages that are delivered to the office if you arn't home to get it. Save yourself the trouble and get a personal entry way apt if you get a lot of packages as this office will make you pull your hair out!
Maintenance: Only two guys who do all the work but they do GREAT work! Love them both they are hard workers and do the job right, the older one of the two is really loud though and you know full well when he is in your complex by just the boom of his voice announcing maintenance is here to fix something haha! I will miss them when I move.
Amenities: Lack to luster I guess? Just plain old things as with most apartments nothing special. The central air system is poorly designed and located so that when it turns on, it drowns out anything else your doing or listening to because it isn't insulated and located like us in the living room with a fake door covering it up or in the second bedroom with a two bedroom. In either case your hearing it quite well. As I said courtyard is always dead looking and people use the maintenance rd that runs through it as a main road almost hitting kids in the past so I heard, and almost getting me in a car accident when I was trying to park my car from someone zooming around that drive nearly hitting me. They put chains up but they never put them up anymore, shouldn't need to worry about that but I guess people are just plain lazy to have to walk or drive a few extra feet.
Noise: Other then stated above insulation from other apts is quite good, the best i've had in any apt actually. My last apt from the same complex (the two bedroom model) had great neibors that were quiet, not so with the new one bedroom. I have pot smokers in the complex, fighting breaking out and loud music always being played.
Between the neibors and the now poor office staff I will be moving out, i'm tired of being tired, I work midnight shift and can't ever sleep because of my fighting neibors keeping me up. Time for a house.
