The Nationals are a relatively new team to the area, after only moving to the city before the 2005 season. They have also recently had some notable seasons, specifically 2012 when they were the first Washington based baseball team to make it to the postseason. These recent successes have certainly increased the fan base of the team and the sport in Hyattsville.
