Churchill Downs offers tours, a museum and a great experience for anyone that wants to see what the thoroughbred state is all about. Another great cultural attraction is the Louisville Slugger Museum in downtown Louisville. The slugger museum is also part of the Louisville Slugger production line which is responsible for a large percentage of professional baseball bats across the country. The museum allows visitors to watch the production and even buy a slugger themselves.

Louisville has their own public transit system in the form of the Transit Authority of the River City or TARC. These buses run from morning to night and visit all the most popular areas as well as outlying areas in the metro Louisville are.
