Apartments are nicely designed and bright and cheery -- nicer than higher priced units that I checked out nearby. Pets are allowed (added fees for pets, as usual). Everyone is friendly, even their dogs. Location is ideal, right next to the beautiful walking paths through Greenway Park. Close to the library, shopping, Hy Vee, grade school, and services. This area of Altoona gives a small city welcoming feeling so close to all the benefits that the Des Moines area can offer. Bridlewood's professional staff is responsive and capable. Noise is the usual neighborhood noise you get in any community of active people and makes you feel right at home. November 4, 2012
