Rated 1 out of 5?by LiveSomewhereElse Decent apartments, but the staff is atrocious to work with.
Overall, the apartment itself was decent, however the staff was highly unfriendly and unaccommodating. When we moved in, the apartment was not in the best condition - make sure to take pictures if you decide you want to move in so you can document what everything looks like (this came to haunt us later). When we were up to move out, our contract had a 60 day lease end (not a huge deal), so we ended up signing onto a 30 day lease (which was $150 extra a month). However, terminating the 30 day lease, they made us pay an additional month because the first lease had a 60 day lease - again, would not have been a huge deal, however they made us pay at the 30 day lease rate. So, we ended up having to pay an extra month at an elevated rate. We moved out and painted all the walls and made sure everything was completely cleaned so they wouldn't have anything else to throw at us - then we ended up getting another bill. The bill was for cleaning beyond our security deposit in excess of $100 (the security deposit was $300). Looking through the list of items that were not clean was absurd; they marked the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and carpets unclean - which seems ridiculous knowing the thorough cleaning and new paint job we gave the place. After calling the complex to see what these charges were for, we were greeted with an unhelpful staff worker who was rude indicating that is what management had determined during the final walk through of the apartment. She indicated that they take pictures, but she was unwilling to show them as she didn't know where they were. When asking for her to pull the apartment's file, she said she didn't know where they were and would have to get back to us. I was shocked at seeing how disorganized and unhelpful the staff at the complex was, especially if they are going to levee absurd fees. Oh well, nothing much I could do except pay the fees. Just be warned, while the complex and amenities are nice, the staff is worthless. (There was one gentlemen who was accommodating - I think his name was James)

Rated 1 out of 5?by Mike the worst place ever
I can promise any one looking at this that any reviews you see that gives this place a 5 star rating come strictly from the staff. This is by far the worst place i have ever lived. You WILL NOT get what you pay for. If you are looking to move here I would advise that you strongly reconsider.

Rated 5 out of 5?by brasilianman Very nice place to start your life again.
In the past I used to live in FL and all the apartments there were terribly loud, dirty, bug infested, and unkempt unless you wanted to pay a rent equal to that of a family home. After moving to IL, I found this place as my first choice of living. My only issues/concerns is that there is no easy access to change machines to do your laundry (must go to the local supermarkets in the area which is walking distance), the speed bumps are a bit high which causes faster damage to the shocks/struts to my car, non-distinguishable markers for the parking spots, and that there are the occasional skunks (the animals) that tends to scare me when I'm coming home late from work.

Rated 5 out of 5?by Pokey A great place to make a home
Me and my husband have been with Windosr Lakes for going on two years now. We plan on being her another 2 years. We live in a pet friendly building and its not what you expect. Windsor lakes makes sure not only the grounds are kept and looking neat and clean but the insides of the buildings are kept clean too. We use the 24 hour gym thats in the main building often and in the summer months my husband loves the indoor basketball gym. Anytime time I have a question or concern the front office has the questions or if they don't they find them for me. Gabriel has helped us often he is very kind as are other women in the building. They are kind and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable for this area as well. We have moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a pet friendly apartment on the 1st floor. Both buildings had very friendly neighbors. We have recommended Windors Lakes to anyone we know is looking to move to the area and is not ready for a house.

Rated 5 out of 5?by greatplace20 Great place to live!
This is a great apartment community and the staff members are very cooperative. Maintenance service and amenities are also very good. It is very close to I-355 and grocery stores such as Sam's Club and Costco!
