Rated 2 out of 5?by gabi3 High cost for disappointing experience I have been living in the The Patricians for almost a year and will be leaving when my lease expires. Though the management has put a lot of money into renovating the common areas of the building, and everything looks very nice, I have been disappointed in my experience. 1. The heat system is controlled centrally. My apartment fluctuated between 74 and 64 degrees all winter. It was rarely a comfortable temperature. I was told to "open a window" when I complained. They are now charging for heat, I refuse to pay to be uncomfortable. 2. Most of the people in this building are young, which may appeal to some, but the high level of drinking behavior means that every weekend, something is broken or messed up. The roof deck (which is awesome) was frequently closed last summer because of damage caused by drunk residents. There have been holes punched in the walls and ceiling of the hallways, trash is littered around. It is unpleasant to be around, having fun doesn't need to mean disrespecting the property and other residents. 3. Maintenance to the fitness area and laundry room are slow, efforts are definitely focused on beautifying the building. 4. When I raised concern about maintenance people coming into my apartment unannounced, and finding my jewelry box open, I got no response. 5. The staff is a mixed bag, though some are nice, others can be very unpleasant. 6. My rent is being raised by $100, which feels a little like a bait-and-switch after living here a year and already paying more than other apartments in the area cost. May 3, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 Great building in great location I moved into the Patricians one month ago and am very happy with my decision. Aesthetically, what's not to like? This is a traditional pre-war high rise fitted with a swanky modern lobby. Building services are outstanding and the front desk is very responsive . I've had no noise issues whatsoever and love the location. I would absolutely recommend the building to friends. October 29, 2012
