Rated 1 out of 5?by Not a book to be judged by the cover I haven't researched full crime stats for the Cascades at Morgan Falls complex, but have to say that over the holidays management slipped a letter into every door frame warning of 2 break-ins over Thanksgiving weekend. Brilliant! That way the burglars will know who's away for the week! I concur with the other review regarding structure. The cracks running along my walls make me wonder if I'll be sitting in my downstairs neighbors apartment one day. Might as well. All day it sounds like a thunderstorm (sliding glass doors) in my apartment as they pop out to the deck for a smoke every 15 minutes and the dog barks all night. They cause the floor to shake and things in my apartment to rattle making me wonder if it's a quake, or the place is finally collapsing. The pipes bang loudly even when the neighbors use their water! Use your own sparingly as the hot water lasts for only 5 minute shower in a 2BA place. As for the parking lot, my tire was sliced last year, and there is a derilect U-haul like moving truck with flat tire parked by the walking trail all the time. God knows what's living in it! Don't count on any of the listed amenities. Over the last year it seems they keep closing them and offering to recommend local places you can pay for the services they claimed were included when you signed the lease. The sketchiest thing to me is the lease. They create a fictional "market rent rate" and claim your actual rent is $30-$70 below it so if you legally move out early, you have to pay them the extra $30-$70 per month all through the lease term at termination. I've yet to find anyone, or complex, with similar policy, and can't think of why they'd do this other than to skirt some legal nuance and increase profit. (Don't expect them to tell you about this scam ahead either.) March 3, 2013
