Rated 5 out of 5?by K.L. OASIS
I just moved here a week and a day ago.
Although extremely new here, I have to say The Stillhouse is an oasis for me. The staff has been very pleasant to me. The location of this complex is perfect, the fit and finish of the units are exquisite and the complex on the whole is very clean. True, the gates have at times been problematic, but I have seen regular security monitoring the premises. In terms of maintenance requests, I have emailed the staff and they resolved the issue 2-days later. All-in-all, I love the place and will give another update in 1-2 months

This is going to be a long review, but full of info you will need before making the biggest mistake of your life. Brace yourselves?
I moved into Heights at Stillhouse way back when they first opened. It was a bit concerning that the complex was so new bc when I visited, there were barely any of the amenities, that were promised, set up. Trash chutes, gym, security gates... The simple things that you would expect an apt complex to have were not operating. I was told that when I moved in, everything will be in place within 2 WEEKS. I quickly realized that this is just an answer that the leasing office staff give to everyone about everything. The gym was not nearly finished after about 2 months I moved in. Trash chutes and the security gates JUST became operable a few weeks ago in MARCH. Oh, and the gates don't work half of the time.
The pool looks really nice to looks at. I say look at because 3 sides of the pool are surrounded by the apartments. You will start to get some sun starting at NOON on one side, then the other side is sunny aprox from 2-5pm. Who thought of installing a pool in a little hole between the buildings? They must think an unheated pool works well in the shades most of the day. Bravo guys, bravo?
The overview here says ?Come home to the quiet relaxation of The Heights?? That?s funny because last time I was relaxing and SLEEPING at 3am the fire alarm went off for 40 minutes. Oh, then on a Saturday morning. Andddd a bunch of other times. So get ready to NOT relax!
One thing that bothers me the MOST is that they do not pick up their phones. They focus so much on leasing the open apts that they do not care for the actual residents who live here when they need to call in for maintenance requests. I imagine that they will respond to this post saying that they try their best to get to everyone. Yeah? Well, please hire a receptionist or start by picking up our phone calls, thanks.
When residents write to the community director, Wendy, she simply gives excuses for why things are the way they are and makes sure to isolate you that you are the only one having this issue. And trust me, I am not alone. Every single resident I have talked to feels exactly the same way. I understand it may be difficult to maintain such a new complex. However, isolating residents and telling them that they are the only ones having issues is not the most professional way of dealing with unhappy residents. I even have talked to other residents who have gone to corporate and they simply do not care, which explains why this place is run the way it is.
This place has lots of perks such as the monthly social gatherings that they plan for the residents in the lobby, and the free gym classes twice a week. Unfortunately, the unprofessionalism of the community director and the staff and how poorly this place is maintained is really not worth the money that you will pay to live here. One last thing, there are a bunch of mandatory fees monthly--$25 for valet trash even though we have trash chutes, $2 for pest control that residents should not be paying for, additional fees to pay your rent online.. And they don?t have a rent drop off box so you NEED to drop off your rent during office hours. The list goes on. Save yourself. Run from the heights.

There are a lot of things to like at Stillhouse - the location, some of the staff (MANDY IS GREAT), the pool.
HOWEVER, there are issues. I agree with the review below - why do we need to let our guests out of the gate? The gates haven't been working for SIX months and so far no cars have been stolen. It seems like a bad decision and it's only going to upset everyone. ALSO we were led to believe we would have trash chutes on every floor - has NOT happened yet. And the fire alarm goes off a lot - one time it went off at 340am.

Everything with this complex was goign well until we were notified that once the gates are closed we haev to let our guests out the gate.. This is to prevent car theft, but don't you mind the inconvenience of letting my college aged twins out when they leave for college at different hours of the morning.
