Ratings & Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5?by 8 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5?by Don't sign here All I can say about Boardwalk is that I am disappointed. Before I moved in, I did a walkthrough. The model was gorgeous, and the staff was nice. I specifically asked if ALL of the apartments included the leather couches, and they said yes. When I moved in, I was put into an apartment with hideous carpet couches that spelled awful. The bedrooms are nice sized and you get your own bathroom which are pluses. There is NOT enough parking. The only visitor spaces are at the front of the complex and there are only a few of them. The fire alarm has gone off on three different occasions while living here (I haven't lived here long). The staff is rude. Every time I go in to get a package or to pay rent they have attitudes. The manager was the worst. They are under new management/ownership starting this month, so we shall see what changes occur. June 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5?by Terrible Complex I can not tell you how much you should try to avoid living here. You will hate it. The internet is atrocious, EVERY amenity that they show you during the walkthrough will be broken most of the time. Every promise that is made by the managers, whether it is to fix major issues with your apartment, or to try to help you with any problems you have. The rooms are large, and having a patio is great, but they are extremely loud and dirty. Our shelves are all installed with the clip that is supposed to support them upside down, so all of our dishes could collapse at any time. My shower has an area where water pools at the back, and they have said multiple times that they will fill it over breaks and it will never get done despite the fact that it looks like it will soon start leaking to the room below mine. The problem is not the maintenance needed, but that they know of these issues and do nothing about them. The air filters get replaced one time per year even though they say they need to be replaced monthly. The speed bumps will damage your car they are so big and poorly made. The ONLY positive to Boardwalk is the price you pay for the room, but you will absolutely be treated just as cheap as the room despite the fact that they are not at capacity. Do yourself a favor and look for any other place to live. April 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5?by MOLD My roommate noticed mold in his room about 3 months ago, and he notified the management at the time. It still has not been fixed. Maintenance men have come and looked at it, but done nothing. The property manager has been dodging him and hasn't even attempted to help. I liked this complex a lot until this incident. And now I'm having to live in an apartment with mold growing in it until I can get out of here. March 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5?by Live Here Now boardwalk at apple yard is a pretty nice place to live. its quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful, transportation is convenient to and from campus. February 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5?by live at boardwalk Boardwalk has huge rooms, a friendly staff, and great maintenance service. I really enjoy living here. There is a large pool, hot tubs, tanning beds, and a gym. I would recommend boardwalk to a friend February 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5?by Live at Boardwalk! Boardwalk at Appleyard is a great place to live! They have very fast maintenance service, a really friendly office staff, and great units. My room is huge, i love it. I have a spacious closet and the furniture provided is very nice and large enough to hold my enormous wardrobe. The complex has a great pool, a gym, and even tanning beds. I would recommend boardwalk to a friend. February 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5?by Top tier value for price of most other campus properties I was very impressed when I viewed the property with my son (he was impressed b/c all he saw was girls). A 2-tier increase in value for a tiny increase in rent-worth it. Staff is sharp. Controlled access, lighting and open design are plusses. New tenants and their parents also appeared to be top tier. Beautiful grounds and facilities. I'm a local parent whose job makes me sensitive to personal safety issues and I was very impressed with the overall positive vibe of Boardwalk. Terrific close-in location that is closer to TCC than FSU, but very convenient to both. Close to the nice campus Publix, restaurants, but away from noisy bar scene. Check it out. August 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5?by There staying here!! After viewing nearly 20 different housing properties our students have chosen The Boardwalk at Appleyard. The rooms and common area look good. All the amenities looked great. It appears to be well taken care of. As a parent the security is reassuring. Do have a concern about the computer room being too hot, getting from the apartment to TCC on the bus line, and possible unforseen fees. May 21, 2013
