Rated 2 out of 5?by D Disappointed. 10 valid reasons why you shouldn't move here
This apartment/townhome community looked great online and the leasing office staff did a great job convincing me that the community was fantastic BUT it has been one issue after another since move-in day.
1st-I got a call the day before I was supposed to move in and was told that my unit had plumbing issues and that they needed to put me in a different TH.
2nd- I work from home and was told that the internet access was ready for installation but it took a week and a half for AT&T to install due to wiring problems in the community. Comcast hasn't even put wiring in the utility rooms so it wasn't an option.
3rd- Residents have to go to the post office to pick up their mail because they don't have mailboxes ready yet here. When I asked which post office to go to for mail pickup the office staff gave me a list with the wrong post office.
4th-No place to dump your trash. We have to drive with our trash to the dumpsters that the construction workers are using. They haven't figured out what to do about trash collection.
5th-The FOB to access the amenities (I.e., pool, gym, business center) isn't working. According to the staff, this is because these areas aren't ready for use.
6th- The materials they used to build this community are CHEAP. Laminate countertops and plastic blinds. This can be deceiving if you are looking at the pictures online.
7th-The units are SMALL. We were in a hurry to move because of new employment and signed our lease without seeing the place in person. We had to hoist our Queen size mattress and sofa to the second level from the balcony. The hallways were built too small. Every neighbor I've seen moving in has had to do the same.
8th-The security gates don't work and are open 100% of the time. Someone has even tried to open my front door.
9th-The office staff are extremely rude and unresponsive. If you show up in person they tell you to call. If you call, they want you to stop by in person. Yet, if you're sitting in the office they pretend they don't see you. They do any and EVERYthing to avoid answering questions. Maybe because they don't have any answers.
10th-On move-in day they wanted me to complete the maintenance walk-thru and sign the paperwork on the spot. I'm used to having at least a couple days to take my time and walk through. When I told the leasing agent that there was a stain on the "brand new" carpet and a broken blind she proceeded to write "new/move-in condition" on the paperwork. I refused to sign and had to wait 2 weeks for the maintenance supervisor to address the issues.
This community was not ready for residents to move in but you can tell that they are in a hurry to start collecting money.
There are nicer places for the same amount, possibly even less. This is a disappointment and not worth it. The paint colors are pretty and that's about it. I'm ready for the lease to end so I can move on. Still have 11 1/2 months to go...
