Rated 3 out of 5?by Alright But Not Great So I have been here almost two years. The grounds look amazing I will give that to them. Really presents well. The rooms are large and I like the floor plans for the 2/2. The patios are small and they tell you no BBQs. The pool I only know of one pool which is the main pool and it is not heated. Great pool but not heated. The community is gated but it never works. They might tell you that it got hit with lighting which it did, but it took them a loooooooong time to fix something which is a huge selling point to the community. Before the lighting strike it was constantly broken and would be left wide open. They have the pin box with a call feature to call the person to let you in, I have 3 groups of friends in this complex no one is listed. Also they give you one barcode for your car and if you try to replace it prepare to pay up. The gate is very easily avoided. Literally you can park in main office parking lot, and just walk past the fence and then leave, or tail the car infront of you and your in, if the gate is closing as long as you can sneak your bumper in the gate will re-open. To give you an idea I literally have tried successfully to get three cars in at once. So the gate is more for show. they have this valet trash that will pick up your trash but they are so selective in what they take. If you leave like a box outside they wont take it, literally you have to place it in a bag. I can understand not wanting to take something like a tv box just in case , but an oversize pizza box? to get a garage $120 a month, a carport i believe is $80....if you have a boat or trailer it will cost you $40 to park by dumpster which are uncovered I will say though the grounds are very well kept and the places are well maintained. Nice but after spending some time in fort myers I realize there are better options. But i am happy enough not to leave. #willSomedaySoon July 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5?by Okay...Kinda overpriced I lived here for two years and I did not have any really big issues. I did like the location and the apartment was large however I did not really like the complex. I felt like a lot of things were not clearly explained when I moved in, and I had a very bad taste in my mouth because of it right after I moved in. They mention that valet trash is included, but you do have to pay trash and water. Also, it is gated but the gate breaks frequently and is not secure because anyone can follow someone in or they could just park out front and walk in so it's really only there for the illusion and to charge more rent. (But I did feel like it's pretty safe there) When I moved in another item that was included was an alarm and right after I moved in they cancelled the service and disconnected them so I felt shafted on that front too. I felt that it was priced okay but the price increase from the first year was a lot. I also had carpet which I hated (I have animals) but I know that they are replacing some of that with the wood laminate, which I think would have been much better. When I moved out though, I did leave the carpet a little messed up and was not sure what they'd charge me and it was totally reasonable, so I was happy with that. Again, it's not a bad place to live, I just don't think it's worth what they charge. The maintenance people are great and quick so that's good and it does allow pets so that was also key. All in all, a fine place to live, I just felt like after I signed the lease that they were very sketchy salesman-y in the office and I didn't like that feeling. If I didn't have carpet though, I probably would have stayed because moving is such a pain. May 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5?by Palms of Monterrey I visited many apartment complexes but didn't like any of them as much as the Palms of Monterrey, and I plan to move in at the end of the month. They are a little more expensive than comparative sized gate-restricted communities but the location is ideal and the grounds as well as the floor plan and square footage are better than others I had visited. Rated 4 out of 5?by I like living here but . . . The Palms of Monterrey advertises a heated pool, but this is not true. I've lived here for two years and my biggest complaint is the pool is not heated. It looks beautiful in the cooler months but there is not a single person that is willing to get in it. April 25, 2013
