Instead, the marathon involves a baseball game with an oversized ball, and the game goes on for 24 hours, raising thousands of dollars for charity.

    Finally, there is also the Hummer’s parade which is a big local joke, making fun of the Philadelphia Mummers event. In the Middletown their version is a satire on just about anyone or anything in the newspaper or celebrity news for the year.
