I have lived at The Meadows for about two years now, and have been incredibly disappointed by the management company. Although the everyday staff in the resident services and leasing office are friendly and kind, the management themselves couldn't care less about their residents. In fact, it feels as if the staff themselves are always having to apologize for the uncaring nature of management. Firstly, the noise level during daytime hours is outrageous. They are doing so much construction to "improve" the property that they completely disregard those who are currently living here. I've been woken up by a jackhammer at 9:05 AM right outside my door more than once. The maintenance staff are difficult to communicate with, thanks to a language barrier, so requests often go misunderstood and thus unfulfilled. The gardening staff that upkeeps the lavish grounds are also very loud, and like to sing in Spanish right outside resident's windows. They park their cars on resident's paths as well, so you have to walk through a bush just to get to your apartment door. Also, security here is BEYOND a joke. I have seen many construction workers and contractors keep the gates open all day long, where anyone can wander onto the property. I even saw two members of the security patrol walk past a security gate that someone had literally taken off the hinges, and do nothing. There have been two robberies recently on the property, and the management company takes no responsibility for the lack of safety experienced by residents. Our apartment has flooded, we've had numerous power outages, and even had to deal with a flea infestation upon move-in. Street parking is pretty nonexistent, and the high trees out front drip sap all over your car, and even dented the roof of my vehicle with a falling pine cone. The cable/internet company that you are REQUIRED to use as part of your rental agreement is useless as well. We spent two months dealing with them on an almost daily basis, and they still weren't able to fix the problems with our DirecTV service. The internet is spotty, and goes out once or twice a week. It's a shame that an attentive and kind staff can't make up for management that only cares about money, and not the residents they are supposed to be serving.
