Rated 1 out of 5?by Don't live here!! If I could give zero stars I would! I have lived at Solara for almost 3 years. The 1st year was pretty good. No complaints that are notable. so I signed a 2nd lease. A few months into my 2nd lease my daughter and granddaughter had to move in with me. As I lived in a 1 bedroom we asked managment to 'upgrade' to a 2 bedroom. Management wouldn't let us switch units without hefty penalties. So we made due until the end of that lease and moved into a 2 bedroom. That's when we began to have major issues, beyond noisy neighbors. The week before we were to move management called us and said that due to the Christmas holiday our new apartment wouldn't be ready in time, so they postponed it one week. The actual DAY of our move management called me to say there was a bug infestation in the new unit and we couldn't move in. After much arguing with the office staff they agreed to put us in a completely different unit. Our upstairs neighbors are extremely loud and discourteous. We complain DAILY to managment. They are so loud and jump around so much it sounds like they are coming through the ceiling. We've actually had pictures and art fall off the wall! Nothing is ever done. There is a leak in the upstairs unit bathroom that comes through our celing. We've put in several maintenance requests and they never fix the problem. That's just the problems in my unit. If you leave anything outside your unit #chairs, grills, etc..# be prepared for it to be stolen. the laundry rooms are not maintained. They are dirty and scary and frequently flood. and then the standing water is left for days. Water is frequently turned off to the building for some unknown reason. For a 'gated community' the gates have been broken 100% of the time I've lived here. They've never worked. Ever. We've even complained to the corporate office. No response. They just don't care. The units are a joke, the parking is a joke, maintenance is a joke. This place is horrible and we can't wait to leave. We're counting the days for the next 5 months until our lease is up. Rated 1 out of 5?by Please read I want to express my anger towards this place so that future residents never have to live in this community. When I leased my apt, I was never told I had no control over the a/c in my apartment an they dint turn it in til mid April when it was 105 outside and 88 in the apt. I was unable to see the apt before I moved in. It's smelled like musk an mold and when I said something, the maintance team took 4 days to come to my apt. Once there they said that the building was just old and they couldn't do anything about it. All of my furniture is ruined because it all smells so bad I will have to throw it all out when I move. And this was all in the first four days. The parking is down right awful. It's all open and you can never find one close to your apt. Then comes the office staff. every one who works in the office is a women an that has not changed in 8 months. They refuse to take my checks that Wells Fargo specifically gave me because they "have to type in the numbers" and that is too much work for them. This has been the worst apt I have ever been in in 8 years. August 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5?by Awful I am actively looking to leave here as soon as possible. The walls are paper thin, I can hear literally everything my neighbors do. The office staff is incredibly poor and very slow to respond to complaints or maintenance situations. Every time I've asked for a work order but one time it's taken multiple trips to the office. The worst part is, especially if you're looking now, there is no AC. It's just a poor swamp cooler that will barely get your apartment below 85 degree when it gets to be 100+ out. I promise you that. Worst of all, you don't control it. We've been seeing 90+ weather the last few weeks and they haven't turned the "AC" on yet the entire office staff has a crisp 65 degree office to introduce their new tenants. I bet my life the model apartments have functioning "AC" as well. April 2, 2013
