Rated 5 out of 5?by We've lived here four years Like the title says, my wife and I have lived at El Diablo for four years now. We found positive reviews about it on other sites and decided to check it out when we left a more expensive apartment which was further from campus. El Diablo has many things going for it. First, it's right next to the light rail and only 5 minutes from campus which makes it great for students. It has its own laundry facilities which are kept clean and it's cheaper than most Laundromats. It's a smaller complex and the apartment manager, Gloria, is very selective who she rents apartments to. Because of that, the complex is mostly small families and graduate students so it's usually very quiet and the residents are all friendly. The pool is decently sized and always clean. Gloria is the best apartment manager I've ever had. She knows all her residents personally and makes everyone feel like part of the family. They have barbecues and parties during the holidays which helps the complex feel like a little community and you get to know your neighbors pretty well. The apartments are well constructed and they are continually upgrading fixtures and appliances in all the units. I've never heard my neighbors through the walls or had any problems with bugs. The maintenance guy, Felipe, is great. He is very friendly, always says hello and gets things fixed right away. He and Gloria are always putting in new plants around the property and keep everything looking great. The landscaping makes the complex feel like an oasis in the middle of Tempe, and the trees help keep the area much cooler. I would recommend this complex to anyone and am only leaving because we are moving to another state. I really can't say enough good things about the staff at El Diablo. They are what really makes this place special; they work hard to keep everything looking great and genuinely care about their residents. I wish I didn't have to leave. April 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5?by My First Apartment By sheer chance I found El Diablo Apartments about two and a half years ago. Tucked away from the undergrad scene, just next to the light-rail and a five minute drive from both ASU and Tempe Marketplace makes it a great location. The dense foliage of the complex is great, a large amount of trees overhead give the complex a pleasant escape from the hot Arizona weather which significantly helps our electric bill in the summer, while all the Tecoma, Lantana and other various plants added color. It was a welcome change to mesquite trees and rock bed landscaping that you so often see in Tempe. The property manager Gloria is so sweet and genuinely cares about her residents helping them in any way she can making the complex a community. Gloria provides regular holiday get togethers if you don't have a place to go for the holiday's you can spend it among your polite and friendly neighbors who are mostly made up of graduates. This was great when I didn't go home for Thanksgiving! The maintenance staff is excellent and friendly while providing fast service whenever I have a problem. I have no complaints there what so ever. The laundry room and pool site are are tenant access only and routinely cleaned. The laundry room has a large amount of clean and well maintained appliances that takes coins (75 cents only!) It has been a wonderful experience here for my first apartment. I would definitely recommend this complex and have definitely enjoyed my stay here so far! April 18, 2013
El Diablo is a fully gated smaller community close to ASU and right next to the McClintock & Apache light rail station. Amenities include a pool, spa, onsite laundry, clean landscaped grounds, barbeque grills - all available 24 hours.
